The Emir of Qatar Upholds the State of Palestine

Tamim bin KhalifaThe Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Khalifa Al-Thani, has underlined that to have a fair peace in the region it is necessary that Palestine reach its legitimate right to form an indepenent country, affirming that it is impossible to reach reconciliation without first establishing peace. The Emir of Qatar has also supported the State of Palestine  after having expressed tht this fair peace will take place once the Israeli regime has completely withdrawn from the Palestinian territories occpied since 1961, among them Al – Quds (East Jerusalem), and the independent Palestinian country has been formed, favoring the return of Palestinian refugees to their home.
Last Wednesday, Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, transferred his power, with a ceremony held in Doha (the capital of Qatar) to his son Tamim, who formed his government and gave his support to the State of Palestine as the new Emir of Qatar, the self-same day.
During his first speech to the nation, the Emir Tamim bin Khalifa Al-Thani declred that he would continue with his father’s policies because, in his opinion, “the challenges that Qatar must face remain the same,” referring to the region’s current situation. During his speech, the Emir of Qatar upheld the State of Palestine.
The Tamim bin Khalifa Al-Thani became the oungest leader of the Arab countries on the Gulf of Persia, and it is the first time in modern Arab history that one of the monarchs abdicates in favor of his son.
